Step into the sacred lands of the Ecuadorian Andes for a 13-day retreat for healing, connection and renewal, connected with the powerful time of the winter solstice.
What You’ll Experience:
Ayahuasca (3 Ceremonies)
Ayahuasca, the sacred vine of the Amazon, is a teacher of visions and deep inner truth. In ceremony, it opens a doorway into the subconscious, illuminating what needs to be healed, released, or remembered. Guided by Miguel’s songs and prayer, Ayahuasca supports cleansing, spiritual clarity, and direct connection with Spirit.
San Pedro / Huachuma (2 Ceremonies)
San Pedro, known in the Andes as Huachuma, is a heart-opening cactus medicine. Gentle yet profound, it brings light into the body and helps participants feel deeply connected with the earth, nature, and their own emotions. San Pedro often brings joy, clarity, and a renewed sense of belonging to life.
Wilka / Huilka (1 Ceremony)
Wilka is a sacred seed medicine used in ancient Andean traditions for vision and renewal. It is powerful and must be approached with deep reverence. This ceremony offers the possibility of profound insight, ancestral connection, and a shift in perspective that can awaken new levels of awareness and inner strength.
Fire Ceremony (1 Ceremony)
The Fire Ceremony is an offering of release and transformation. Through prayers, songs, and ritual, we symbolically give to the fire what no longer serves us, while calling in blessings for the new cycle. It is a space of gratitude and renewal, harmonizing the group and aligning with the energy of Kapak Raymi.
Daily Grounding & Integration
Between ceremonies, you’ll be supported with meditation, gentle movement, nature immersion, and optional sharing circles. This balance allows time to rest, reflect, and integrate the wisdom of each plant medicine into daily life.

We will be in a simple countryside house for this retreat. There will be wifi, hot water and a pool on the property.
There will be private + shared rooms, depending on the number of guests.

Taita Miguel
Taita Miguel is a curandero, or taita, from Ecuador, with 28 years of experience working with sacred plants like Ayahuasca, San Pedro and Wilka. After a difficult childhood and youth, he found healing with the medicine San Pedro. He began helping taitas of the Andes, and then some years later began doing his own ceremonies. He was then introduced to Wilka by a Bolivian shaman who initiated him into this almost-lost tradition. He was then finally introduced to Ayahuasca, and learned to work with this sacred medicine as well with the Shuar native people of Gualaquiza.
Katie
Founder of this center, a spiritual medicine guide, and ceremonialist of Wachuma, San Pedro. Born in the US, she has been walking the spiritual path with plant medicines for 8 years and holding space in ceremonies and retreats for 6 years. She has studied under the guidance of her partner Miguel, a mestizo shaman in Andean + Shuar lineage, as well working with Mama Mercedes, an indigenous Kichwa Andean healer and midwife. Her role at the healing center is to lead, guide, and empower people to reconnect with themselves, Spirit and Mother Earth.
With a loving and compassionate nature, her wish is for everyone to experience the magic of love and self-healing through different elements, including sacred plants.
